In this group activity, the class was divided into groups of 6 students each. After pondering upon a lot of ideas we decided to look around in our surrounding, observe and study the objects and their colors. Each of us collected a lot of pictures clubbed them together and created a color wheel by segregating images on basis of their colors.
This exercise was extremely fun as this was our first group assignment. We all shared our experiences and learnings and could put everything together in this color wheel.
I learned that there is color everywhere, in nature, man-made objects and has many aspects attached to it. It is very interesting to understand why a certain thing is found in a particular color in nature or why an object is given a particular color. For example flowers are colorful to attract insects that helps in pollination and certain reptiles are of green color to show that they are poisonous. Danger signs are painted red because it has the highest wavelength and is least dispersed hence can travel long distance to our eyes.
